THE 74TH HUNGER GAMES TICKETS ON SALE WEDNESDAY
Grab your seats. The world will be watching.
There’s far too much content in book 1 to cram into 2.5 hours, so you may find that some things make more sense after reading what you may have missed.
I’m sure The Hunger games will be amazing, I just think that since the US couldnt remake Battle Royale because it was too controversial , they saw Hunger Games as an opportunity. I’ll go watch but it seems i didnt need to read the book to understand it because of Battle Royale.
(to that screencap) SMH. Actually NO, Battle Royale’s not original either. both owes the Greek myth of the Minotaur (Go look it up) Suzanne Collins admitted being inspired by the myth. I don’t know about Battle Royale’s author, maybe he came up with the idea before the ancient Greeks?

I have no problem with pointing out the similarities between The Hunger Games and Battle Royale, because there are many, but calling THG a rip-off is the most under-educated thing one can say IMO. To people who have actually read the books, statements like that pretty much translate to a hipster-ish “go against the hype” rant from people who don’t know, fail to acknowledge, or fail to comprehend anything beyond the most basic premise of either franchise.

Because of my excitement over the trailer, I reread The Hunger Games trilogy. The ending breaks my heart in so many ways, but that’s the point, isn’t it?
It’s amazing how can something be so hopeless and yet so full of hope at the same time.
